Fun Things for Girl Scouts to Do in Savannah

We love everything that Savannah has to offer Girl Scouts! We have highlighted some of our favorite Girl Scout activities below!

Juliette Gordon Low's home.

Girl Scout First Headquarters

No Girl Scout Troop trip to Savannah would be complete without going to the Girl Scout First Headquarters, the carriage house of Juliette Gordon Low’s childhood home. It was willed to the Girl Scouts in 1927 to serve as The Girl Scout First Headquarters building. Located in the heart of historic Savannah, this site houses a museum and a shop. Tours are offered daily.

Plant Riverside

This is relatively new to the Savannah area. If you want to check out the Savannah River, start here – there is a long path along the river that starts at Plant Riverside. The streets are consistently pressure washed and the area offers free shows to passersby. Also, did we mention that inside one of the hotels there is a GIANT CHROME DINOSAUR REPLICA!? Additionally, next to the dinosaur, there is a huge display of geodes from Richard Kessler‘s private collection.

Inside E. Shaver Booksellers are books,

Tybee Island is Savannah's beach and is located less than 30 minutes from downtown.

Tybee Island Beach

Visit the beach with your Girl Scouts. We recommend the North Beach area (near the lighthouse) as it is much less crowded.
